Nexus Traverse: First Raid Dungeon!
By : Sealath
A lot of new features will be added to TERA with the Argon Queen patch, one of which is the raid system and the very first raid dungeon, available once all of the Nexuses have been closed in one zone!
The Raid System
Have you ever wanted to play together with more than 5 people in a group? Then you’ll definitely like the new raid-system coming with the Argon Queen update!
Raids can be created once two people are in one group. Pressing the “X” key opens the raid-interface, allowing you to freely add, move, or remove players from the raid party. The maximum size of a raid is 20 players, which can be divided into four groups.
An explanation of the different symbols:
- The leader of the raid is marked with this flag
- Players that are allowed to add others to the raid
- You can hide/show specific groups and players on your UI with this button
‘Nexus Traverse' Entrance
One of the new dungeons to be added with this huge update is the ‘Nexus Traverse’, the first raid dungeon in TERA!
Only those that are in a raid group consisting of at least 10 players may enter this dungeon.
After all the Nexuses in one zone have been closed, the ‘Shattered Nexus Fragment’ will appear. This will serve as a portal for you and your party to enter this exclusive raid dungeon!
The ‘Nexus Traverse’
The Nexus Traverse is the ultimate trial for you and your group! You have to act quickly and defeat the constant stream of Argons before a new Nexus appears beneath the ominous, disorted, dark space hovering above your heads.

Three circular rooms await you, each featuring foes more fierce and powerful than the last who are waiting to sink their teeth into your flesh.

Meet the first wave of enemies that blocks your path in the first octagonal room. Although they come at you in great numbers, you should be able to defeat them quickly and move on to face the more challenging threats.

The next room is a test of your group’s teamwork. You need to separate the two Nexus Retaliator BAMs that you face in this room, since the closer they are to one another, the stronger they get. You should decide which group will take on which BAM in order to prevent any (fatal) misunderstandings!

Though the Nexus Retaliators were indeed strong, the Nexus Ruler awaits you in the last room. With the ability to summon other monsters and target the whole raid using wide ranged attacks, he’s a most formidable foe and will require teamwork to defeat him!

For conquering this raid dungeon, you will be rewarded with the highest quality armour and weapons to further strengthen you in your quests! Together with your friends and this T14 set, you’ll be able to face the even bigger threats that lurk in the dark, just waiting to get back at you!
