  • Slayer

Dominating the battlefield with a focused offense and aggressive tactics, the slayer is a harbinger of death, cutting a swath of destruction through his enemies. Wide-sweeping attacks, skillful dodges and versatile abilities make slayers a valued addition to the Valkyon Federation army.

“Have the courage to survive – anyone can die.”

The slayers are one of TERA’s foremost damage dealers, cutting down groups as well as single foes in a matter of seconds. Wielding massive two-handed swords, they are able to damage enemies approaching from any side, or knock down and crush them with devastating overhead attacks.

They wear leather armor, making them agile enough to avoid damage and position themselves before unleashing their powerful skills, as well as offering some protection when they are forced to fight in the thick of the battle.

In a team fight, slayers excel at taking down distracted enemies, using a wide array of focused attacks and leaving the foe stunned and unable to retaliate. With their deadly mix of mobility and high attack damage, they are also accomplished duelists

In the sweltering heat, the vanguard convoy moves slowly across the Celestial Hills.

“Captain, since when is it our duty to transport drunken thugs for the prefect?” the young Amani recruit teases. “It’s not like we had a choice after that old fool, Siam, got himself punched in the face… Can’t say I didn’t see that coming.”

The captain frowns. “If it weren’t for Siam’s contacts in Velika, we wouldn’t have to drag this guy along,” the recruit states, gesturing with his head toward the shackled prisoner, who just then stops dead in his tracks. The young Amani recruit rattles the chains strapped to his saddle. “Oy, move it, human!”

The prisoner flashes a snide smile and gives the chains a powerful yank, dismounting the surprised recruit. “Halt!” yells the captain, taking up his lance and shield. “Oh, I don’t intend to escape.”

Snatching the recruit’s two-handed sword, the prisoner points to the nearby hill, where hulking figures have started charging toward the convoy. “Just thought you might need a hand with those Orcans.”

The captain growls, “Red Fang ambush!”

“It’s been too long since I’ve had a good fight,” the prisoner says to himself, weighing the huge sword in his hand, waiting for the Orcans to close in on him. Laughing, he tightens his grip and swings in a broad arc, taking the nearest Orcan’s head clean off. Like a steel tornado, he charges into the Orcan bandits. “Run for your lives! Assir the Slayer is back!”
